Lights, Camera, and more Lights!

शुभ दीपावली!

Sri Chaitanya IIT Academy, SR Nagar, Hyderabad, Oct. 8: The college officially declaredtomorrow, Friday, a holiday on the occassion of Diwali. The entire day was dotted with background music courtesy afternoon revelers bursting crackers on the road.

Nothing exceptional happened till the very end of the day. After college was officially closed, students of all communities tried to burst a few crackers in the college. On seeing this, Mrs. Jhansi, Vice Principal, herself lit a cracker in celebration! This one scene attracted the gaze of at least a hundred students!

Meanwhile, no official stand was made whether Saturday would be a holiday or not. Most people stay up till nearly the crack of dawn bursting crackers, so there is hardly any question of them coming to college. Furthermore, everyone agrees that a three-day holiday would be a much-welcomed relief!

Mr. Vara Prasad also told JIIT1 (ISB) that ABVP has called for a bandh on Monday to protest Sex Education.

Meanwhile, students wrote an English exam today. A mini-NEON Style IPE Exam is scheduled for Monday, and IIT UT-7 after that. (OTFS)
